Designs in the pack

How to print and fold

1. Print page 1 (the outside) on card stock in landscape at 100% scale.
2. Turn the sheet over and feed it back into the printer to print page 2 (the inside) — test on plain paper first to learn which way your printer flips pages.
3. Or print both sides automatically with duplex printing set to “flip on short edge”.
4. Score along the dashed fold line with a ruler and a blunt knife or an empty ballpoint pen.
5. Fold in half and press the crease flat.
6. Write your message and sign.

The folded US Letter sheet is 5½ × 8½ inches. Folding an A4 sheet makes A5; Fit to page changes the artwork scale and margins. It fits an A9 envelope (5¾ × 8¾ in) or a C5 envelope.

Paper and finishing

• Card stock of 65–110 lb cover (175–300 gsm) makes a sturdy card that stands up.
• Matte card is easiest to write on; glossy photo card gives vivid colours but ink may smudge.
• Add texture with stickers, washi tape, glitter glue or a photo on the inside.
• For a professional finish, trim the edges with a paper cutter after folding.

A personal detail — a shared memory, an in-joke, something you admire about them — makes any card special.

Making cards with children

The five card PDFs in this pack are already coloured. Children can add a handwritten note or stickers. Separate colouring resources, where listed in the free printables library, are not extra versions of these five designs and are not included in this ZIP.

Office and group cards

For a group card, print the confetti or minimal design and use the inside for many signatures, or print an extra inside page and tuck it in. Keep a small stock of printed cards so there is always one ready. Keep birthdays in your own calendar; a reminder list is not included.

Formats

Cards are print-ready PDFs on US Letter landscape (they print on A4 with “Fit to page”). Inside pages are separate so you can print just the fronts for handwritten insides. The Word file is a plain landscape message sheet, not a fold-layout template or editable card design. Use it to draft wording, then handwrite it in a printed card.

Envelopes and delivery

Folded cards of 5½ × 8½ inches fit A9 envelopes; if you print on A4, use C5 envelopes. Square or unusually stiff cards may need extra postage in some countries — check with your postal service. For hand delivery, add the recipient’s name to the envelope in a matching colour.
